My name is Ingrid Anita Damli and I am the CEO of the company StableCare. StableCare’s vision is to provide comfortable transport to all sick. StableCare are from south-Norway and we are proud members of Agders, innovative technology network. We wish to contribute to creating new local workplaces.
Under the stretcher, we install a stabilization system that eliminates sideway forces by dosing the turns. The stabilization unit moves, so you are not pulled from side to side anymore.
StableCare have recently conducted a pilot test with 27 participants. They got to test ambulance transport, as it is today, and as it can be with stabilizing. Every, test-person, without exemption, would have chosen the stabilized ride.
We also got Arne Thomassen, Torunn Ostad, and Benedikte Nilsen Glommen to test our solution.
My name is Arne Thomassen and I am the county mayor of Agder. To be invited to this trip was super. I was so impressed! This is technology that should be brought out to the whole world. I compare this to our oil technology, the drilling technology. This solution is genius. I believe that this solution should come as requirement. We know that an ambulance costs several million NOK. I believe that this technology is a very important element in the ambulance.
My name is Torunn Ostad and I am the Board-leader of “Agder næringsselskap” who has a small investment in this company.
This made it extra fun to participate in testing the product. It was a very pleasant experience! A little surprising when seeing the machinery and how much the stretcher could move. This could not be sensed when you were lying on top of the stretcher. A small investment to get the patients safer to the hospital. I think of the districts with a long way to the hospitals with longer transport distances makes it even more important to have a safe and comfortable transport this will be a great improvement, especially for the districts.
When driving non-stabilized, pressure changes that occur in the head due to acceleration and breaking will easily trigger carsickness and nausea. Vomiting in the ambulance is very common and also very uncomfortable both for the patient and for the ambulance personnel, who have to clean.
Bjørn Bjerkan, I am a nurse anesthetist. Ive been working in the Air Ambulance Service for 30 years. I have been working both inside and outside hospitals. My experience from lying on the stabilized stretcher: I was skeptical in the beginning but after only a few kilometers, I realized that this is the future! Because I was lying so stable. I didnt get the sideways movement all the time. If I had pain in my chest, a broken pelvis, or seriously broken bones. Stabilized would be much better. I was looking into the roof. It was much more comfortable than lying on an ordinary stretcher.
We are looking for an Investor, a long-term investor who looks forward and wants to take this solution out to the world!
